Yes, in some cases a WeatherTech mat may feel rigid, slightly bent or very close-fitting when it is first removed from the packaging.

FloorLiner and other custom-fit products are designed from precise measurements of the vehicle floor. For this reason, their shape can be very specific and snug. After shipping or storage in the box, the material may also need a short settling period.

To help the mat settle:

• remove any original mats or other mats completely;
• place the WeatherTech mat directly on the clean vehicle floor;
• press gently along the edges and contact areas;
• leave the mat installed for some time so it can better adapt to the vehicle floor;
• if the product is very cold or rigid, let it sit at room temperature before installation.

It is not normal for the mat to interfere with the accelerator, brake or clutch, fail to attach to the retention points, or not match the shape of the selected vehicle.
