Personalize your WeatherTech experience by selecting the make, year & model of your vehicle.
Yes. The driver-side floor mat must always be installed, positioned and secured correctly before using the vehicle.
If your vehicle has an original retention system, the WeatherTech mat must be properly attached to those retention points. Depending on the vehicle model and product purchased, different systems may be used, such as clips, hooks, buttons, twist-lock devices or specific retention fittings.
After installation, always check that:
- the mat is installed on the correct side;
- the retention points are properly engaged;
- the mat does not move or slide forward;
- the accelerator, brake and clutch, if present, have full movement;
- no part of the mat interferes with the pedals.
If other people drive the vehicle, they should also know how to check that the mat is installed correctly. The same check should be made after car washes, servicing or workshop work, as the mat may have been removed and reinstalled.
If the driver-side mat is not stable, does not secure correctly or interferes even slightly with the pedals, do not drive with the mat installed and contact our Customer Service.
